-Siddhartha Gautama Buddha
What can you expect while working with me? My entire focus is on you, your concerns, and your needs. You will be respected and taken seriously. I will provide you an opportunity to have guidance in managing the challenges of work, relationships, school and other areas. For example, we can plan how to approach sensitive family issues or consider a needed career change. Whether you are 16 or 80 years of age, we can develop a future plan that can lead to greater contentment and happiness.
The therapeutic approach I will use for you will be tailored to your particular needs and situation. I frequently utilize techniques rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Meditation, Family, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Humanistic modalities. I also am trained in therapeutic interventions for trauma, including EMDR (Level 2) and EFT.
My goals for therapy for most clients are to help you learn to see yourself in the best possible light and to love yourself, no matter what is happening in your life or what you have been taught previously. I take joy in helping people ‘unlearn’ prior conditioned teachings involving feelings of limitation and lack. I am interested in transformation, helping people see themselves and the world in a more positive light, and generating feelings of contentment and joy.
Although therapy sessions, sometimes are emotionally challenging as you ‘root out the weeds’ of previous learning, therapy can be enjoyable, invigorating, and uplifting, as you strive toward new goals and realizations.
I am sex-orientation and gender-identification friendly!
